A beautiful antique Russian 88 silver-gilt cloisonne enamel 5-piece desk set including a tray with a pen-rest, an inkwell with a hinged cover, a blotter, two stamp boxes with hinged covers and a letter rack, each enameled overall with stylized scrolling foliage on varicolour ground, with birds on the letter rack, the blotter with a finial in the form of a mythological crerature by Feodor Ruckert, Moscow, circa 1899-1908. Length of the stand is 32.5 cm. Weight of all five pieces is 1,870 grams.
